Welcome to the Unofficial Vyatta Wiki!
Vyatta is an open source operating system for routers and firewalls based on Debian GNU/Linux. It runs on standard x86 hardware and provides various networking-related functions such as IP and IPv6 routing, dynamic routing protocols, stateful traffic filtering, IPS and more.
All functions are configured and managed via unified command-line interface similar to Juniper Network™ devices or optional web-based GUI.
You can download it from the official website.
This wiki is complementary to the official documentation and focused on practical usage, interoperabilty with other vendor devices, third-party tools, development, history and community. Articles about theory of features provided by Vyatta are also suitable.
